A Camping We Will Go

Hi Everyone,

So we are all packed and ready to hike us and our gear 4 miles out to a forest service cabin today!!! We are super excited to spend a few days chillaxin by the ocean, fishing and enjoying our rainy June weather :)  Actually I'm hoping that maybe it will not rain.  Even it there isn't sunshine, I'd be happy just so long as it's not raining buckets.   But we have all our rain gear ready anyway. 

This is the first time we've done anything this hardcore.  We will have no running water so we have to bring things to decontaminate the water, we have to pack in our own fuel for heating, not to mention all of our food and clothing and sleeping bags.  It's sink or swim time for our youngest, Maddox.  This is a hike we did a few times last year and one of us were usually carrying him part of the way on our shoulders.   But with all of our gear we won't be able to do that, we will also need him to trade off and on with Breckon, carrying a backpack. 

I'm sure we will have our ups and down but I'm so excited to just get away from it all.  We will have no cell phone service, no computers, just us and our fishing poles and our kids.  I've finished up all my open orders, put the shop in vacation and am ready to just be.

P.S.  *Adoption Update*  I mailed off our formal application and paid our first 1/4 of the agency fees! Thank you to all of those that have donated money to help out, we greatly appreciate it!   I also found someone to help us with our paper trail and home study.  Finding someone to complete our home study was the hardest part of that whole beginning process.  Dossier here we come!
